We are thrilled to welcome summer interns Dustin Del Moro, Joe Alberico, and Athena Lee to the Landworks team!
Dustin Del Moro is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee growing up in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains. He is currently a graduate student in the University of Tennessee School of Landscape Architecture where he also completed a bachelor’s degree in plant sciences. With a science and research-based background, Dustin’s work is grounded in scientific advocacy and ecology while his curiosity has led him to embrace and explore novel approaches to design including computational methods, multimedia representation, animation, and non-traditional workflows.
Outside of school, Dustin enjoys living in downtown Knoxville with his partner Helena and is an avid cyclist, hiker, gardener, and pinball player.
Dustin is thrilled to be joining the team at Landworks Studio this summer and is looking forward to learning as much as possible from the incredibly talented group of designers. Landworks attention to detail, welcoming studio culture, and creative approach to all aspects of the design process make it a fantastic place to develop as a young designer.
Joe Alberico, from Waltham, MA, is thrilled to join the talented team at Landworks Studio in Salem this summer. As an upcoming senior at UMass Amherst pursuing a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Joe is eager to dive into his first landscape architecture internship and explore the complexities and diverse range of projects at Landworks. Having grown up in New England, Joe has developed a deep appreciation for the natural environment and is particularly passionate about creating spaces that preserve and strengthen coastal wetland areas. In his free time, Joe enjoys running along the Charles River and taking day trips to the beach on the Cape Cod.
Athena Lee is currently pursuing a Master of Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Pennsylvania and is on track to graduate in May 2025. Before coming to UPenn, Athena received a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture at the University of Hong Kong, which is also her hometown.
Athena particularly enjoys 3D modeling and exploring different digital software, including animation, virtual reality, and game engines for rendering. She is skilled in using Rhino to represent her designs. In her free time, Athena enjoys traveling to experience cultural and environmental diversity around the world.
Athena is excited to join Landworks Studio this summer to gain experience as a young landscape architect.
