Cameron Melo joined Landworks Studio as an intern in 2022. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s in Landscape Architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
Cameron grew up on the south coast of Massachusetts prior to moving to Boston. Once there, he studied landscape architecture at the Boston Architectural College where he received his Bachelors. Cameron’s pursuit was motivated by the landscape where he grew up, diverse in ecology and rich in cultural landscapes.
In addition to being surrounded by inspiring landscapes, Cameron has also worked hands on in the landscape since he was young. The accumulation of knowledge has led him to successfully design and build his own projects around Boston.
Of those projects, a garden in the Fenway neighborhood was one of his proudest. A public space for people and pollinators that was built for and by the community. The design utilizes simple materials that bleed into each other to blur the boundaries of people and pollinators.
